What does it cost to sell notes on Unotely?
Opening a store is free. Unotely takes 15% of each sale and you keep 85%. Unotely pays Paystack's fees, so there is nothing else to pay.
What can I sell?
Summary notes written in your own words. Past papers, memos, assignment answers, lecturer slides and textbook pages are not allowed, because they belong to someone else.
How do I get paid?
Buyers pay through Paystack and Paystack pays your share to your bank account, about 1 to 2 business days after each sale. Before a store goes live we ask for a bank confirmation letter or recent statement so we know the account is yours.
How do buyers get the notes?
They pay by card, EFT or Capitec Pay. The notes open in their browser straight away and we email a receipt with a link back in. If you choose, they also get a PDF by email.
Can my notes be shared with the whole class?
Every page carries the buyer's email address, in our reader and in the optional emailed PDF, and the reader does not offer a download. Nothing stops a screenshot, but anything that gets shared can be traced back to who bought it.
Do I have to prove my marks?
No. It is optional. If you send proof, our team checks it and your module shows a Verified pass (50% or more) or a Distinction (75% or more) badge.
How long does it take to set up?
About 5 minutes to add your notes, prices and bank details. Our team then checks your bank letter before your store goes live.
What if a buyer wants a refund?
Buyers can ask for a refund within 30 days if the notes are not as described. The terms explain how.
What happens to my personal information?
We collect only what we need to run your store and to deliver notes, and we follow POPIA. Card details go straight to Paystack and never reach us. The privacy policy has the detail.
